Don Asbill

Don (Donald) Asbill is associated with the experimental art community that developed at the University of California, Davis, during the 1960s and early 1970s. He earned an M.F.A. in 1970  at UC Davis. Asbill worked across media, producing collage as well as sculptural assemblages constructed from wood and other materials. His work shares the playful transformation of everyday forms, irreverent humor and interest in unconventional materials characteristic of the broader Northern California Funk environment.
