Parking and Directions

Manetti Shrem Museum Directions & Parking

The Manetti Shrem Museum is located at 254 Old Davis Road, Davis, CA 95616. Parking is available for purchase via the AMP Parking App (daily) or permit kiosk (hourly) in C Zones in the Visitor Parking Lot 1 and the Gateway Parking Structure. Directions and details on parking options and costs are below.

From I-80 East (from Bay Area), take the UC Davis exit (Exit 71). Turn left onto Old Davis Road and continue north for approximately 0.8 miles. The museum will be on your right.

From I-80 West (from Sacramento), take the UC Davis exit (Exit 71). Turn right onto Old Davis Road and continue north for approximately 0.7 miles. The museum will be on your right.

From 113 South (from Woodland), take the I-80 East exit (Exit 26B) toward Sacramento and keep right to take the ramp toward UC Davis. Turn left on Old Davis Road and continue north for approximately 0.8 miles. The museum will be on your right.

Public Transit
The Amtrak station is located 1 mile from the museum. To see if the campus bus lines can help get you where you need to go, visit the Unitrans website for full details on routes and schedules.

Parking Options and Costs

During the academic year, campus parking regulations are enforced from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and during special events. Parking is free on the weekends and on university holidays except during special eventsAll lots are monitored by campus parking enforcement, so please be sure to follow posted signage; do not park in spaces restricted to specific vehicles/permits. We want to make your visit as convenient as possible and offer the parking options below:

  1. Hourly parking: Purchase a permit for C Zone / Visitor lots from the gray permit machine kiosks located at the entrances of the museum’s Visitor Parking Lot 1 and at the Gateway Garage parking structure (southwest corner). The kiosks accept Visa and Mastercard only; they do not accept cash. You will need to input your license plate number at the dispenser.
                  • Rates: $2.50 for 1 hour, $6 for two hours, $10.50 for three hours.
  2. Weekend parking: Parking is free on weekends and university holidays except during special events where parking areas with permit requirements will be posted in advance.
  3. Daily permit: Visitors can also purchase a daily visitor permit for $16 from the gray permit dispensers, or by using the new AMP Park app. We recommend downloading this pay-by-phone app before your visit or by following directions on signs in Visitor Parking Lot 1 and the Gateway Parking Structure (located across from the Mondavi Center). The app accepts Visa and Mastercard only at this time. Hourly parking is not available through the AMP Park app.
  4. For non-smartphone users, parking is available by creating an online account with AMP.

If your vehicle displays a disabled person’s placard/plate, you may park in any disabled space without purchasing a parking permit. Areas that are restricted to specific vehicles or permits (e.g. gated central campus, exempt vehicles, one hour A spaces, event reserved spaces, etc.) may require pre-authorization and purchase of an appropriate permit.

Bicycle

Ample bicycle racks are located on the west side of the museum as well as around Vanderhoef Quad on the north side of Old Davis Road.
