The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art is committed to offering a visitor experience that is welcoming to all.

Parking

Accessible parking spaces are located in Visitor Parking Lot 1 (C Zone) near the Mondavi Art Garden and in the Gateway Parking Structure. Parking permits are not required for vehicles displaying disabled person parking placards.

Entrances

The museum is a single-story building that is accessible by persons utilizing mobility devices. 

The museum’s main entrance and side entrance are accessible. Please note that only the main entrance has a power assist doorway.

Mobility Devices

Manual wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the visitor experience staff in the lobby for information. Please return wheelchairs after your visit.

The museum also welcomes your personal walkers, wheelchairs and scooters.

All events in the museum are wheelchair accessible; however, not all doors are on power assist.

Service Dogs

The museum welcomes Service Animals. Learn more about campus policies regarding Services Animals.

Seating

Benches, couches and portable folding stools are located throughout the museum to provide ample opportunity for sitting and resting.

Our galleries provide seating areas for comfort and prolonged engagement with the artwork. 

Restrooms

Universal, gender-neutral and accessible restrooms with changing tables are located in the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Lobby and in the Carol and Gerry Parker Art Studio.

Assistive Listening Devices

The museum offers Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) for public programs. ALDs are available upon request and can be checked out by contacting a Visitor Services staff member in the lobby in advance of a public program.

Large-Print Labels

Large-print labels are provided in the galleries for temporary exhibitions. Please note that areas in our galleries may feature low lighting to protect the artworks.
