Fiamma C. di Montezemolo (b.1971) works at the intersection between contemporary art and contemporary anthropology. Earning her Ph.D. in Anthropological Sciences at Instituto Universitario Orientale, Napoli, in 2002, Montezemolo went on to earn her M.F.A. at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2011. She uses photography, video, installation and cartography to study border zones of the world to understand concepts of trace, echo, fold, secret and flow. Much of her fieldwork focuses on environments and cultures within Mexico, the United States, and Italy. Montezemolo is a professor in the Department of Cinema and Digital Media at the University of California, Davis.
