Arts and Humanities 2024 Graduate Exhibition

UC Davis graduate students in Anthropology, Art History, Art Studio, Comparative Literature, Creative Writing, Design, English, and Spanish and Portuguese present their work. Explore new ways of seeing and understanding the past, present and future in this multidisciplinary exhibition.

The Savageau Award for Design

An installation explaining and demonstrating handcrafted and digital shoemaking includes a video monitor, shoemaker's bench and tools, prototype sneakers, and wall labels with photos.
Damien Mitchell, M.F.A., winner of The Savageau Award for Design, created the display Re/Pair: A Fusion of Handcraft and Digital Fabrication in Shoemaking. 

Keister & Allen Art Purchase Prize: Nitheen Ramalingam

Letters & Science Prize for Excellence

Opening Celebration

Thursday, June 6
5:30–9 PM

UC Davis graduate students in the Arts and Humanities present their work at the Manetti Shrem Museum. You’ll experience new ways of seeing and understanding the past, present and future in this multidisciplinary exhibition. The free public opening celebration features performances by master’s and doctoral students, as well as the presentation of the LeShelle & Gary May Art Purchase Prize, the Keister & Allen Art Purchase Prize and the Savageau Award in the Department of Design.

The 2024 Annual Art History Graduate Colloquium

Learn about this year’s UC Davis Art History master’s degree candidates through the presentation of their thesis work. Lectures are followed by the 2024 Art History Undergraduate Awards and a light reception.
